LUMANA'I O SAMOA - SCCU YOUTH PROGRAMS

Our mission is to focus on serving our youth with programs such as mentoring, tutoring, sports camps, educational workshops, cultural workshops, community service projects, etc. We hope to promote within our community youth involvement which will result in making right and meaningful decisions in this ever changing environment.

We propose early exposure to vocational and technical education which may lead to marketable job skills. We support developmental education designed to assist our youth in preparing themselves moving from elementary and high school environments to a fast paced college environment. We help build strong foundations for our youth to follow; and have role models within the community to foster programs and keep the focus and not loose the momentum.

We support programs that influence our youth in making decisions which will reflect on them, their families and the community in a positive way. We teach them the values of our heritage and to understand its importance as members of a new and changing society. We encourage them to be law abiding citizens and how to provide community service to others. Most important we educate them on representing our community values, our culture and to respect the laws of their new home.
